Sakura Necklace
This necklace features tiny hand sculpted blossom flowers amidst twisting silver branches. Pink, red and white stones reference the different colours of cherry and plum blossoms seen in spring. Blush pink seed pearls dangle from the tangled chains like falling petals. Depending on how you position the necklace the chains will loop and hang differently.
The Sakura Necklace is part of a series of work inspired by flower arrangement. Since returning from overseas I’ve been staying with my parents who are avid gardeners. My Mum is a florist and makes arrangements with flowers from her garden almost daily. I’ve been inspired by her work as well as her collection of floristry books, in particular the unique forms of ikebana.
This necklace is adjustable up to 46cm. Links can be added or subtracted to alter this length, just get in touch.
Made by hand by Hannah from 925 sterling silver, lab grown pink sapphires, vintage natural ruby, lab grown white sapphire, vintage pearls, and machine made chains.
